Jim Gessert

Jim broke his hip two years ago and was told by his doctors that he would never run again. But Jim did not let his doctors' words stop him and he proved them wrong this fall when he completed the Redwoods Marathon where he finished in 5:42:53!

Jim continues to enjoy running and racing particularly when he can do it with his two grown daughters!

Joe Weidenbach

After completing what he thought personally unattainable - finishing the Boston marathon - Joe has to the realization that his normally sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits (with staples like pop-tarts, mountain dew, and pretty much anything with melted cheese on top) dictate that he continue with his running efforts.

In appreciation for all that Lisa and traininggoals.com has done for him, he now strives to complete all of the marathons (at least in North America) that Lisa has won in her illustrious career, with Chicago next on the list for 2012.
